Our new site is under construction.
Projected "go

and we will thank you for it.

Thank You
To all of our Volunteers (to numerous to mention),
our sponsors and all the participants at the Hummer.
It was a great Hummer, great racing, great parties, great people & great fun.
I'll bet you are looking forward to next year already!!

Another welcome to our newest sponsor, The Sylvan Lake News.
Thanks Barry

The Martin 242, Fleet 4, continues to grow with the
addition of "Steel Breeze". That brings the
total to twelve!
Congratulations to Don Bardenhagen & his crew.

A big SLSC Welcome to a new sponsor, Red Deer's own Festival
RV.

For the Long Distance Race on Sat., July 4th, there must
be a woman on the helm, FOR THE ENTIRE RACE.
Otherwise, you will be scored DNS. Fleet Captain's Rules. I guess
this means that John has to do foredeck!!! OMG! .

The Solstice races went very well, and the Hors d;eurve
challenge was...I can only describe it as a stunning success. At one point the
entire cockpit of the RC boat was filled with goodies & bribes.
Doran & I dutifully sampled everything, enjoyed the
offerings, but were somewhat distracted by the presentations and forgot to fill
out our score sheets!!
The MRS started the day with an offering of crackers &
faux cheese, but returned several times with most of our favourite foods &
beverages and I can only say we regaled with the presentations!!
My personal objective for the Solstice was to really have
15 people wanting to be the RC next year, however, now I am thinking that Doran,
John & I might want to do it again.
All told...it was a good day on the water. .
